I invite you to join us on a magical journey – to the Crystal Condor City of Light, Machu Picchu – via the mystical Inca Trail. This is a Sacred journey under the gentle guidance of the Grandfather Huachuma & Maestro Percy Levita, Andean Paco (Shaman).

On this ancient trail, you’ll hike thru breathtaking landscapes, traverse mist-shrouded mountains and explore fascinating Inca ruins that blend into the lush Peruvian jungle. Every step you take will bring you closer to the history and spirit of the people who left their incredible mark on the Andean Mountains. This journey will transport you through the centuries, connecting you with the grandeur of the ancient Inca civilization and its most precious jewel, Machu Picchu. You will hike into this remarkable site thru the famous Inki Puntu, ‘the Sungate’ & enjoy the citadel over 2 days.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: CUSCO – KM 104 – AGUAS CALIENTES

In the early morning, we will depart from our hotel in Cusco / the Sacred Valley in our transport to begin the adventure. We will then head to Ollantaytambo town in the Sacred Valley. From Ollantaytambo, a train will take us to our starting point, at km 104, Chachabamba. Our trekking journey will begin on the banks of the Urubamba River. After a slow ascent, we will arrive at the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in the area of Wiñay Wayna. We will continue to the ‘Puerta del Sol’ or ‘the Sun Gate’ (Inti Punku) and later to Machu Picchu citadel in the afternoon. Our trek will be gently & lovingly guided by Grandfather Huachuma & Maestro Percy Levita, Andean Paco (Shaman) – both are a real blessing to have as an addition!

Along our journey we will cross lush and verdant landscapes & cloud forests and will see an immense variety of plants, flowers and birds along the way. We may also see animals like the vizcachas (rabbits similar to chinchillas) and the spectacled bear (if we are lucky).

After reaching the Sungate, we will continue down a beautiful, paved path to Machu Picchu where we will visit the famous ‘Mirador’ at the top of the citadel. From here we will descend to Aguas Calientes town, located in the valley below to check-in at our hotel and have dinner.

Aguas Calientes translates to ‘hot waters’ as there are hot springs located in the town. You will have the option to visit them in the evening if you wish.

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO

After a very early breakfast, we will take the first bus to Machu Picchu to have a 2-hour guided tour with Maestro Percy Levita as our personal tour guide. During this tour, you will learn about the Incas and visit the most important areas of the citadel of Machu Picchu.

After the tour, you will have the option to climb to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. These must be booked well in advance and are an optional extra (approx $60 Usd). In the afternoon we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and continue on in our private transport back to Cusco / Sacred Valley.

THE INVESTMENT

Cost $850 USD (twin share) or $920 (single) with $500 USD deposit to hold your space.  Deposits are non-refundable.  Payments made in USD or the Australian equivalent.

Remaining balance is due in USD cash on arrival.
